Special Olympics |
In 2004 the Special Olympics Perak
1st Unified Team Competition was held, initiated by Bethany Home. This
was one of the outcomes of our participation in the Special Olympic Nature
Unified Sports in Sabah last year. |
Twenty teams participated in our Bethany event, one team from Brunei, one from Kuala Lumpur, one from Taiping and another from Ipoh. The athletes had a great time “enjoying each other’s company” and team events. The escorts for athletes were able-bodied people from the community and some family members. |

The “Candle
Light Party” was very successful with some of the participants sleeping
in tents pictched around Bethany Home that night. |
